Atlantic Puffin

Puffins are around 32 cm in length and have a wingspan of around 53 cm. This sea bird lives in coastal regions including the Channel Islands. Puffins nest along the cliffs of Jersey’s north coast between Plemont headland and Le Douet de la Mer headland (northwest of Grève de Lecq). You will rarely see a puffin in person. To avoid disturbing these special birds please do not go to the seabird protection zones during breeding season, from March to July. In 2020, only two breeding pairs were recorded in Jersey.
