Discover Beaches

Come to Le Hocq for our first Discovery Day in partnership with Jersey Heritage, Blue Marine Foundation and Plastic Free Jersey!
Le Hocq Beach with slipway and Le Hocq Tower.

Find out how Jersey’s beaches are shaped by the ebb and flow of the tide…

Join us for a fun packed afternoon, full of FREE activities at Le Hocq (St Clement). Take part in our community beach clean, create sand art and discover the fascinating history of Jersey’s geology through pebble activities led by our Geopark Guide. At low tide, journey with us down the beach for a rockpool s’traû (stroll in Jèrriais) to where a treasure trove of sea creatures can be found in the rocky seascape. Learn how to identify sea life and get your face painted as your favourite sea creature! Follow the discovery trail at Le Hocq Tower to uncover more about this historic coastal landmark and take part in building the longest sand castle.

Please bring a plastic free picnic, sun hat, bucket and spade. Picnics welcome, but please no BBQs!

All children must be accompanied by an helpful adult.
